THE MEASURED PARAMETERS

The Intex water analyzer measures 3 essential parameters to understand the health of your water:

  • The temperature of your water
  • pH
  • ORP (or Redox potential)

pH allows you to check the water balance, which is essential for your comfort and the effectiveness of treatments.

Temperature, meanwhile, directly influences disinfectant consumption and the development of microorganisms.

Based on pH and ORP values, the device is able to calculate the level of active chlorine present in the water.

Good to know 💡

This data is far more relevant than the simple total chlorine level, as it reflects the truly effective proportion of the disinfectant. ORP plays  a key role here: it doesn't measure the quantity of chlorine (or another disinfectant) present in the water, but its actual disinfecting capacity.

It indicates the water disinfection strength, taking into account all the parameters that influence treatment effectiveness (pH, temperature, organic pollution, etc.). Water can contain chlorine but be poorly disinfected: the ORP  helps avoid this pitfall.
